Paul Lakin has been appointed to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager at Hull Trains.

His role with Hull Trains will be to continue to raise awareness of the company name and brand, and to increase passenger numbers, both from the business community and leisure travelling public.

A well-known marketer within Hull, before joining Hull Trains, Paul worked for the coach holiday specialist, National Holidays. During his time, Paul won two National Coach Industry Awards, Marketing Campaign of the Year and Brochure of the Year.

Before that Paul was General Manager at the Hull Arena and was responsible for its complete re-branding leading to the venue being marketed as a concert venue attracting acts such as Robbie Williams, All Saints and Texas. Now living within Hull, Paul was brought up in Humberston, near Cleethorpes.

Jim Morgan, Managing Director of Hull Trains says: -

“As we approach our first anniversary as a train operator, Paul’s appointment as Marketing Manager signals our intention to develop Hull Trains not only into a top ten company, but one which leads the industry in customer care and delivery of train services.”

“Paul will be responsible for co-ordinating all the marketing activity that we undertake and will help to ensure that we continue to maintain our customer focused approach. Hull Trains is looking forward to expanding its service with a fourth daily service starting in September and Paul will be looking at ways to encourage more people to choose Hull Trains.”
