Grand Central promises a range of exciting benefits to passengers:

New Links. delivering increased journey opportunities and attracting new passengers to the rail network through the creation of a benchmark in cross-Pennine rail travel.

Passenger Satisfaction. through customer service is top of the Grand Central agenda. As well as offering a consistently high quality of service, Grand Central is aware of the importance of making rail travel as cost effective and accessible as possible to passengers.

Simplified ticketing. is a feature we believe will attract new users to the rail network. Our fares will not only be easier to understand, but will always be cheaper than the normal network tickets currently available.

Passenger Comfort. Grand Central firmly believes that all passengers should have a seat for their journey. Part of the Grand Central commitment to passengers, through its Charter, will be a 50% refund, at source, should a seat not be available.

Value for money. Each train will have a quota of easily available advance purchase tickets, to bring real savings in the cost of rail travel.

Airport links. A new Executive Coach service linking Manchester Victoria directly with all terminals at Manchester Airport is due to commence in May 2004, offering passengers arriving at Victoria the opportunity for a speedy, direct link to the plane.

Committed to quality of service. With a small, dedicated and motivated workforce, Grand Central will ensure that it can respond quickly to any issues that arise, and will empower its employees to ensure passenger concerns can be quickly addressed.
