Nicola Shaw CBE, Chief Executive of HS1 Ltd, has been appointed to the role of Executive Director UK of National Grid, the international electricity and gas company.
Rob Holden CBE, Chairman of HS1, said: “Nicola has my warmest congratulations and I wish her every success in this new role. During her time at HS1, Nicola has proved to be a dedicated and inspiring leader, developing HS1’s position to become a central part of the UK’s transport infrastructure, respected for both trusted delivery and continual innovation. She has worked closely with our customers to continue to grow their services while striking new and innovative partnerships, maintaining enviable safety and performance records and retaining the position of St Pancras International as the nation’s favourite station. The Board and I thank her for her work and extend to her our very best wishes for the future.”
Nicola is expected to take up her position at National Grid in the third quarter of 2016.
